Royal Match reviewed by Third Coast Review
I was excited to present a beta version of Royal Match (though, at the time it was still called Royal Unions) at the Logan Playtest Party in Chicago back in November. It was awesome to see players engage with my game and watch a few groups get invested enough to complete full playthroughs. I took away so much valuable playtesting data and had a great time seeing players bring my design to life.
Some of the players happened to also be journalists covering the event and I just came across this great review of the event by Third Coast Review. Marielle Bokora went above and beyond in covering the event and has a photo and a paragraph for each and every game that was on display. Writing about Royal Match, she said, “gameplay was easy to pick up, and the strategy element really added to our enjoyment.”
